Tripp Rider – HB
East Hall

#12 WIDE RECEIVER

HT: 6’1″
WT: 228
GPA: 3.5
Class: 2018

What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I catch the ball extremely well. Big and physical. Fights for extra yards and always takes at least two defenders to tackle me. I start both ways. I play Defensive end. I also have over 500 receiving yards as a tight end: H-back.

Rider was one of the seniors that led East Hall to their outstanding year where they made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He was split out in the slot a lot, and caught around 500 yards on the season. He has decent speed given his 6’1″ 230 lb. frame, but where he really stands out is with his hands. He does a nice job of looking the ball in and making a secure catch. He does a nice job of shielding the ball away from the defender too. Route running could use some work honestly, he doesn’t always do a great job of selling his routes. He is tough after the catch, keeping his feet moving and continuing to fight for extra yards. He would be better suited lining up at the actual h-back role.
