The small 2020 athlete had one of the best years in the state of GA from a stats standpoint. He’s very quick, but more than just shiftiness. McCannon is the plastic man out there on the field, he molds himself around tacklers, dipping, ducking and dodge tacklers in very subtle movements that can throws a defender enough off that they cannot even lay a finger on him. He threw for 2000 yards last season on top of about 1200 on the ground. He doesn’t have the size to play QB probably at the next level, but shows good enough arm talent. He’s very well schooled at running the spread offense. Does a great job of squaring his pads up field coming out of the mesh. Throws a very catchable pass, and can do so with good accuracy on the run. Does a great job of seeing cut back lanes, and doesn’t always just run out to the sideline. Two huge offensive players graduated last year at WR and RB, so it’ll be interesting if he can produce like he did last fall.
