Davis has always been a good route runner, and originally coming out of Schley County he is now at Coffee, where he is one of the top receiving target in their more low key passing attack, granted they have opened up more throughout the years. Davis is fearless running with the football. He shows good acceleration, which definitely helps with separation on his route running. Davis is a solid wide receiver recruit, but does need to continue to get more explosive laterally. Very physical player and has a big chip on his shoulder too – go to love his confidence. Davis does a good job of tracking the pass and times accelerating at the end to max separation. I definitely like how he comes back to the football and attacks the pass, he doesn’t float back at all. He is definitely more of a slot receiver at the next level, so continuing to work on route running on shorter routes would be ideal. Should be over 170 next fall, and that should lead to more broken tackles after the catch I think. Has become significantly stronger in the last year and good body composition too.
