If offensive linemen weren’t hard enough to scout then you should check out Tom Maier’s film. Playing a schedule where all of his opponents are unfamiliar to me is definitely a tough task. The big 2020 offensive tackle has pretty good feet, and overall I like his hip bend. Nice kick step and demonstrates good quickness sticking with the pass-rusher. He’s so much bigger than everyone he’s going up against, but Maier does what he should at the same time. Continuing to get quicker, working on playing with better leverage will help a good bit. Maier might be better suited to play OG at the next level or at least RT. Needs to work on flexibility a lot and sit more down in his stance. Made 1st team All-State his senior year. Grew another inch the last year, and starting to get a lot of FCS and DII interest. The 2020 recruit has a ton of upside, he is one of the bigger OT prospects still left in this class.
