What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
What makes me stand out as a future collegiate athlete is that I can play anywhere on the field and will do anything necessary to win. As a freshman I started varsity at WR, LB, and rotated in QB. In the biggest game of the year, I scored 2 touchdowns against the 5th ranked team in the state at the time, helping my team pull out a victory. There is no other player on the field that wants to win more than I do, and I think that’s what really sets me apart from my peers.
Well no doubt about it, Streicher is a good athlete, you can just look at his raw numbers and see that, but his sophomore film also displays that nice level of athleticism. He did a little bit of everything last year making blocks, getting interceptions, running the ball and making catches out of the slot. He is a natural runner with the ball in his hand, and you can expect a lot of power plays this season for Pickens with him at QB. He sees the open field so well, but lack of top end speed will make him more of a short yard specialist if enlisted as a QB in college. I think with his powerful lower frame, he can find his way onto the defensive side of the football. Potentially at SS or OLB. Junior year he had his squad to one of the best seasons in school history, and he did a good job of hitting all of his receiving targets. He’s a powerfully built player, and can get tough yardage with his feet for a first down. Works on his pad level even more and he could be very tough to bring down too. Has broken a lot of school records at Pickens following up another QB who put up good numbers in his own right too. Streicher is a football player pure and simple – get him on your roster, and he will make winning plays.
