Marshall is getting his first reps at RB this year, and has looked really good early on. He gets up field vertically, and doesn’t mess around much – just explodes through the hole. Marshall is a very good athlete with above average acceleration. Shows very good leg drive too, The 2020 back is relentless getting extra yardage. With little experience running the football at the varsity level, it’s certainly a revelation the way Marshall has toted the rock. He makes quick cut back against the grain and shows impressive speed in the open field. With a little more work, Marshall could end up being a good college RB. He can get to the 2nd level of the defense, but needs work on reading blocks downfield and becoming more elusive in general. He ran for 1300 total and 14 TD’s last year – could be on the cusp of an even bigger season. Spring game he gashed the defense for several long runs going for 93 yards on 9 carries in just one half of football.
