What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
Hard worker, smart, All Region LB, started 3 games as a sophomore at Lowndes.
Last year McCawley has just transferred up from Lowndes but fit right into the East Coweta defense playing MIKE. He is a tough player, does a good job of stuffing the gaps. He has a really wide frame and his powerful body type just eats up a running back. The 2019 linebacker can stop a back in his tracks. He doesn’t have great foot speed, but does a nice job with his first step and reading the play. He gets downhill quickly, and has the power to get off blocks too. McCawley is a perfect fit to play in a 3-4 defense and shows the versatility to play any spot as well. I like his instincts though in the middle of the field and the quality production he had last year at a new school suggests he is primed for a big fall.
