Stewart played all over the defense last fall lining up most times against the inside slot receiver. Playing in a tough schedule the 2019 defender made some really good plays where he reads the route tree and jumps the pass. He had a good bit of PBU’s last year, doing a good job of raking the pass out of the receiver’s hands. I like the way he tackles, he really measures it up and does a nice job driving through with his hips. Stewart has a wiry frame, but should reach 190 lbs in college. He plays in a very good defensive backfield, and for other teams in the state I could see him playing FS for sure. He’s a really good energy player, and would make a nice impact on special teams as well. Stewart does a lot of things right out there on the field, and shows he can line up a tackle and make a play against all talent in the state of GA whether they are headed P5 or DIII.
