Locke was an All-Region RB last year for the top 10- Christian Heritage team. He is a powerful athlete who caught our eye this offseason after doing a 325 power clean. That’s legit, especially for a 195 lbs running back. Locke doesn’t have break away speed, but does appear to have strong legs breaking off tackles and good balance in general. Running vision is solid and he does a nice job of reading defenders down field, making smart cuts. Definitely like that Locke also lines up at receiver, and multiple occasions he makes nice adjustments to passes. Locke figures to be one of the most versatile players in Class A this year. A jump on his open field speed will get some D1 programs more interested, but it’s hard to ignore the sheer power that the 2022 athlete has. Even on defense you have to be impressed with his open field tackle and ability to rake out passes out of the receiver’s hands. Locke is set for a big senior year.
