Askew has been a promising back out of Houston County for a few years now but his senior year has gone to new heights and the 2022 back is currently leading the state of Georgia with over 1100 yards in just 6 games. His near 200 yards per game average is powering Houston County to a few upset wins. Askew is tough to tackle. His lower body is like tree trunks and simply diving at his legs won’t always be enough to get the running back down. Askew has a long running stride and getting nice chunks of yardage. He’s not going to blow by defender but rather use his immense strength and relentless running style to get extra yardage after contact. His running vision is improved and he is showing more patience waiting for his blocks to develop. Askew isn’t going to rip off electric plays with his speed, but is the type of back to grind down a team and get tough yardage late in the game. His effort on each plays is hard to recreate.
