Cofield has a compact body and just drills the ball carrier upon contact. The senior is a heat-seeking missile and a really good solo tackler. He plays patiently, doesn’t overpusue, and uses his strength to plug holes in the gaps. Cofield took his game to another level this seaons where he also played on the offensive side of the football. He has made two seperate highlight reels for that reason. He was the blocking, lead back at Grovetown but also got a lot of carries in the read option too. He’s really quick on his feet, and shows really good balance after contact. The Grovetown senior is extremely determined and each carry he takes the ball like his hair is on fire. The senior would make for a really good full back at the next level and shows more upside than defense for that matter. Cofield is one of the strongest athletes in the state compared to other players his size. He was instrumental to Grovetown’s deep playoff push.
