The 2020 recruit is just a mauler out there on the field, shows good body control while staying engaged. He shows light feet, gets upfield and sticks with his block, showing above average finishing. Hand placement and is some of the best in his class, and gives him such an advantage at the point of attack by getting superior leverage on the defender. McLaughlin looks like a no doubt Power 5 center at the next level, and his upside as both a run blocker and pass blocker is impressive.
