Darling was an All-Region punter his sophomore year, but also got reps all over the place at WR, on defense and even some QB. He’s got a baseball background too, so not a complete surprise that he also got some reps at QB, and a year from now he figures to be the starter. For 2020, he will have to look to expand on his jack of all trade roles on the team. He’s gained an additional 20 lbs. since last year, and now approaching the 190 mark. This time a year from now he should be there. He’s a solid punter, needs to continue to work on getting extension through the kick. As a QB he has pretty good arm strength, but definitely needs more work with his footwork in the pocket. Interesting recruit, he’s got good size and should garner some solid college interest over the next year even if just at punter.
