The long Riverwood two-way player saw success on both sides of the football in 2023. At around 6’5″, Poret takes advantage of his length getting solid leverage while blocking and driving his legs through the attempt. He shows good body control while engaged, and as he slowly builds onto his frame, he should be a lot more consistent in getting his opponent down. Poret needs to get more flexible in the hips and continue to work on his pad level and flattening out his back. The 2025 jumbo athlete has quality upside at the next level, considering his general athleticism and frame, but is still pretty raw with his footwork. He needs to continue to sharpen up his pass protection; work on his kick-step. On the flip side, his run blocking is solid, and he does a nice job of setting up his blocks and generally shows good hand placement. Poret’s length is a real difference maker while on the field, and whether he is playing offense or defense, the 2025 lineman displays good body control while getting underneath his opponent’s pads and driving them out. That should attract D1 programs no doubt, and he is the type of recruit to watch closely over the coming weeks and months.
