What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
2nd team All region Quarterback, started at safety sophomore year, played both sides of the ball at Quarterback and safety junior year, Won the iron tiger award at school awarded to strongest and fastest player on the team, run a 10.9 100m in track and Region champion, Region runner up in the 200m, broke the school record in the 4x200m relay
Darlington used the multi-faceted athlete in a number of ways in 2023. He was under center a decent amount and showed off his good running instincts and creativity at the 2nd level. Kunczekwski is a fluid athlete with a good change of direction and does a good job of reading cut-back angles to amplify his run. He is a creative runner at the 2nd level for sure. The senior accelerates quickly, and that pops a few times while on defense where he cuts the distance between him and the ball carrier fast. Goes into a tackle with good impact but needs to clean up his form. I like how Kunczewski plays the game, he has an impressive feel for reading the field as a runner, and that translates to some exciting plays. Seeing how he has gained weight this offseason, we expect the Darlington senior to break more tackles. I’m sure he has made some progress as a passer this offseason, but what truly pops on film is his fluidity and running vision. At 6′ and 180 lbs., the senior has good speed and instincts that D1 programs should take another look this fall. Looks like his top 100m time was a 10.97 this offseason, so the speed on film holds true. Although he is a good offensive player, it seems like he could have an impact as a defensive back at the next level. Kunczekwski seems like a real sleeper in this class with currently no offers going into his senior year.
