What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Hard worker, good student, coachable, team player, aggressive. Two time all region. Lead region for receptions at tight end position.

The 6’4″ tight end prospect has moved around a good bit throughout his high school career, and senior year he is set to be at MCA. First, he definitely has good size, and that alone is going to grab a lot schools attention. He definitely has room to grow in the weight room, but Burkhart from a fundamental stand point has some potential here. As a blocker he shows good back arch. He does a good job of getting up field quickly after the catch. Shows a pretty nice swim move as a defensive end. Solid body composition to work with here, he should really fill out his frame nicely and end up around 250 at the college level. To me, he seems more like a tight end at the next level. I would like to see him sharpen up his route running right now and try to not to catch the football so much against his body. Definitely like his blocking and motor in general. He’s got two year’s of varsity experience, and honestly think he will do well at MCA in 2020.
