Helton is an aggressive offensive guard prospect who totaled a nice share of pancakes last season as a sophomore. What you have to like about the 2020 lineman is how aggressive he is at the point of attack. He shows a ton of urgency with his feet, and typically keeps a flat back when engaged. Helton strength lies as a run blocker, but at the same time I really like how quickly he gets out his stance in pass blocking situations and he does a quality job maintaining a strong base, fairly wide stance. Helton is an above average blocker for his age group, and he finishes at a solid clip. Improving his athleticism will be huge, and hoping to see a jump in that department, if so then his stock can take a nice jump, as he shows good technical skill, and even played some center last fall too, which is probably his best fit at the college level. Over the last year he’s gained over 40 lbs, and grew an inch. He made some really tremendous gains in the weight room and really like his body composition in general.
