What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Great attitude, willing to do whatever it takes to win, positive vibes

Baker probably didn’t think he would be starting QB at Thomasville this year with a freshman getting all of the duties in 2018, but he is now at IMG Academy. With that huge opportunity, the junior has seized it. Thomasville got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the year, but came on strong towards the end. Looking at the scores, and it looks like their offense really started to pick up, Baker obvious being a big part why. He does a good job of selling his fakes and rolls out a lot to throw on the run. Does a pretty good job of going through his reads though. He has about 3 D1 caliber receivers to go to including one of the best TE’s in the state. That luxury will be gone senior year, so it will be interesting to see if he can build a new relationship with the next group of guys. What I like about Baker though is his accuracy. He puts the ball in the right spots, has a good sense of where the defense is, and throwing it so only the receiver can make a play on it. Solid arm strength too when he can set his feet. Made some really nice plays in the playoffs too. I would have thought he would be running the ball more given his frame and the Thomasville offensive attack being so wide open – he did end up with about 600 yards rushing, and ended up with over 3000 all-purpose yards, so guess I’m being picky at this point.
