Wright is an explosive football player who has been on our radar for a few years now. He looks like the perfect SDE candidate or since his more recent growth spurt, he could even play defensive tackle. He uses his hands well, shows nice leg drive pushing the offensive lineman back. He is a natural athlete, moves really well for his size. The urgency he plays the game with is a major advantage for Wright, and his quickness gives him a major advantage against most offensive tackles. Last fall was one of the best years in awhile for Cedar Shoals, and Wright was one of the best player on the team. His ability to affect the pass and run is near the tops in his class. He has a good body composition, but needs continue to fill out his frame in the weight room. Really like Wright getting over 280 at the next level, and to us, he shows a ton of potential as a pass-rusher at DT on 3rd downs. His motor and constant pursuit he shows on film gets the job done.

STATS 2018: 79 tackles, 11 TFL, 4 sacks, 11 QBH, 1 FF, 1 FR & 1 DTD
