Bell has continued to grow over the years and is now about 6’4″ and 280 lbs. He is set for a big fall for sure. He gives more OL in Class AA trouble. He is pretty good at setting the edge showing very strong hands and getting good leverage on his opponent. He doesn’t have much in terms of moves to get off blocks, but does an excellent job of bull-rushing and has strong hands at the point of attack. Pretty good moving laterally playing the read-option off the edge. He uses his quickness a good bit to get around blocks and just working on getting quicker with his swim move would help create some extra havoc as a pass-rusher. Bell is definitely a run stopper though. He plays his tail off getting after the ball carrier and regularly finds himself in the right spot to jump on a loose ball or create a fumble himself. Bell is very patient playing off the edge and seems to make consistently good reads on read options. Tackling could be better, and at times there is just too much arm tackling for our liking. At his current size, he looks like a great candidate to play 3-4 DE at the next level. Senior year and Bell has continued to pack on the weight and is now up to 280 lbs, which is about a 30 lbs. increase from last spring. Another improvement from the senior is the better tackling in space, and a lot of that has to do with improved strength, but also better form too. Bell provides versatility at the next level, a good motor, and someone we think can play at the D1 level.
