Battle is a big bodied athlete who looks the part, and certainly made his fair share of plays over the last few years starting at Creekside, which is a team that won their region championship last fall. At 6’3″ and the general athleticism he shows there is a lot to like. He needs to work on squaring up his tackles, we see him making a lot with his arms. Right now he is much stronger in pass coverage, enough they feel confident with him in man situations. His general frame and athleticism suggest that free safety will be the best fit at the next level. He improved his open field tackling a good bit over the last year and that has really pushed on college interest. Creating more turnover and deflections will be interesting to see how he improves with the graduation of their key SR DB.
