What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

My ability to be coachable and learn without being re-told.

The two-way athlete for Harris County was a consistent threat on either side of the football in 2023, which earned him All-State HM honors. Ogletree has that ‘it’ factor with great football instincts on the field. The 5’11” athlete had 943 yards on the season, which led Harris County, and was also a team leader with 6 interceptions. Ogletree has exceptional acceleration to the football. He hits his top speed quickly, and Harris County uses his speed a lot on little tunnel screens. That’s where you get a taste of his great field awareness and how he negotiates around blockers. On defense, Ogletree does a great job of reading the QB’s eyes, and a lot of his interceptions result the result of him making great reads, rather than the QB throwing a poor pass. Ogletree can get to either sideline from his safety spot and possesses the ball skills to attack the pass. He is an impactful tackler with impressive pop considering his 175 lbs. frame in 2023. He takes really good pursuit angles and is full tilt to the ball carrier showing slow-down in his tackle approach. Teams might want a bigger safety (who doesn’t?) but they won’t find many guys with the football instincts, ball skills to high-point a pass, and the tackling that Ogletree showcases. So far, App State and Georgia State are the smartest teams in the SE offering him.
