Davis has a pretty big impact on the varsity squad as a sophomore, and will be looking to crank it up another level this year. He is blitzed a good bit off the edge where his speed and good pursuit angles can be taken advantage of. He almost exclusively plays out at the WILL spot. Gets downhill quickly when even dropped back into a zone. Davis is a smart player, he instinctively gets the ball carrier back into pursuit and is a reliable tackler for a player that was around 160 last season. Making more plays in the passing game can really make a difference for Davis, but cannot deny the hustle and intelligence he plays the game with. He makes some legit stops against P5 talent as the season went on. It really depends on how he fills out over the next year, but from a technical skill stand point, Davis could be a solid 5th DB in a 4-2-5.
