Ball has good playmaking ability and has the speed to be a vertical threat out of the slot, but also the versatility at either outside receiver spot. Ball is pretty quick out his breaks, and his acceleration right when he gets the football and be pretty deceptive with the ball. He’s very effective on speed outs where he can get out to the sideline with excellent burst. Ball is a very effective young recruit, and watching him in the Corky Kell, he was good at catching out in the flat and using his speed to get up field getting big chunks of yardage. Ball has added weight from last year, and should be more capable of breaking tackles after the catch. He shows a lot of upside as a slot at the next level, if he gets better with his route running, then I think more FBS schools will be interested. He’s very close at breaking off long plays at Kell, I think he can make a much better jump his senior year, and can get around 800-900 yards.
