Johnson has a gun-slinger style to his game, and can snap off a ball on a line even on the run. He reads the defensive back well and knows when to throw it over top or dump it down to a receiver on the flats. He has a high release point, and decent height which allows him to throw a nice ball over the level of a zone, from around 15-35 yards out. He has a pretty good feel for the game, and even played WR some, making a few highlight plays with the defender draped all over him. Biggest improvement we want to see is arm strength from JR to SR year and overall quickness in the pocket to continue to improve. A strong senior year will really help solidify his recruitment from the local colleges showing interest, so stay tuned. 1774 pass yards, 22 pass TD (24 total) in his senior year.
