Campbell ended up with 74 tackles and 8 PBU’s to go along with 2 FF. Those are some good numbers for a defensive back playing in the middle of the defense, but the open field tackling is very good. Campbell is very solid at lining up his tackle attempts. He’s very explosive in the hips, does a very good job of dropping them and driving his legs through the tackle attempt, and he consistently get down big receivers in solo scenarios. Campbell has solid speed, but would like to see his acceleration to the ball carrier be a tad quicker. Also, just working on lateral quickness and getting lighter in the feet would help more in coverage. Campbell is a very good student athlete though, and couple that with his IQ on the field I think high academic programs will be very interested. The 2022 recruit has flown under the radar to a good extent, primarily he is listed on the JV page and not the varsity at Brookwood’s Hudl.
