Daniels is an excellent cornerback prospect who has a knack at getting his hands on the football. Really caught my eye at the Corky Kell when he just flat out ripped the football out of a North Gwinnett receiver’s hands. Very good tackler too, has nice speed to cover a lot of speed. Daniels is one of the better cornerbacks in this class, his physicality is a real difference maker. Closes out quickly with the ball carrier, and steps up into the flat with urgency, then performs a nice tackle too. Does a nice job of breaking up passes right before the receiver catches the ball. His tackling is so good, by far one of the best among CB’s in the class and is so physical when comes to breaking up passes too. Looks like he is mostly in a zone defense, would like to see him in man coverage more often. Looks like he causes about 3-4 fumbles on the year with one interception too.
