Valentino has solid size, and last year he split between safety and receiver at Johns Creek. He does a nice job of playing the football, makes several tough diving catches where he gets good inside positioning. Overall, his ball skills are above average, he does a nice job of timing his jump. I can see how big Valentino has added weight, that playing FS is a more natural fit, but at the same time, JC lost some playmakers on offense, and the senior could really step up and be one of the premier targets. What I like about Valentino is that he also shows the flexibility to play close to the LOS. He’s not overtly physical taking on blocks, but still does a nice job of chipping and staying in the play. Does a nice job of spinning out of blocks too – very interested to see how the senior plays this fall, he has some legit upside as a defender.
