What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I work harder than most around me/ played on the USA National Team Twice /

Perry is a quick hybrid safety/linebacker type of athlete who has above average lateral quickness and the penchant of a big hit. The real game change is Perry’s acceleration to the football and his ability to play man coverage. He is quick, and long mesh routes the senior has the speed to catch a slot receiver. His Jones Co. film is really impressive for that reason. He got a lot of good reps last year and what probably impresses the most is his vision to read the play and knife thru gaps that a lot of defenders just do not see. In a nickle based defense Perry could really thrive playing out on the edge and blowing up screen passes. Shows good energy out to the sideline and above average solo tackler, but has a tendency to go up high and profile tackle too. Would like to see him drop his hips more on his tackle. Going into his senior year we would like to see Perry a lot closer to 190. He shows lightening-quick hips for a linebacker for sure, and at times I’m wondering if he is more of a SS at the next level. Perry could very well be getting more work as a defensive back with the graduation of some key pieces to the Buford secondary. He needs to work on his lateral quickness, which in turn would improve his solo tackling. Perry got a lot of reps at the main MIKE position on passing downs for Buford. His coverage skills are the obvious reason and it definitely looks like a lot of his snaps came against more pass-happy programs. Right now, the 2021 recruit is in a fork in the road, and personally we are split on if he is an OLB or SS at the next level.
