Strong as an ox, Tolvert use his immense strength/speed combo to bull rush up the middle creating chaos in the backfield. He routinely knocks the OL back into the ball carrier or QB. Definitely a strong player, but it is his fundamentals that do a lot of the heavy lifting right now on the field. Very good leverage while engaged. Tolvert is a solid D1 recruit. He’s grown over two inches and gained 50 lbs. in the last year, so he could very well continue to grow at this rate. Either way, the 2021 recruit is working hard in the weight room and that shows on film. He’s definitely a recruit to watchout for this fall, the added size and strength could really make him pop among more D1 programs. Ended up with 48 tackles and 5 sacks his junior year earning All-Region. Really like his motor and just the general energy he plays with – their is some legit urgency in the way Tolvert plays.
