In terms of sheer upside, Simmons is one of the better looking OT’s in this recruiting class. He still has a ways to go in the strength department, but shows very good hip bend. and light feet while blocking. His basketball background is evident in his pass blocking film. What I like the most about Simmons is the flat back and natural flexibility he shows while engaged. He shows excellent quickness coming out his stance. Doesn’t even get very good leverage and hand placement is just okay. Simmons has very good body control while blocking and demonstrates good body composition. He is a no-doubt FBS caliber OL and I think some P5 programs will show heavy interest as well.
