Freeman plays both defensive back and running back in Claxton’s offense. He has good length, long running stride which allows him to create solid separation from the defense. He is very physical considering his 170 pound frame, and runs with zero fear moving up field. He has good ball skills as a receiver, capable of making extremely difficult catches with the defense completely draped over. On defense he shows a penchant for the big hit, his natural quickness would make for a pretty good cornerback prospect honestly. Couple that with his solid hands. Freeman is a good athlete for sure, but needs to fill out his frame. Interested to see how an additional 10-15 pounds would boost his play. He could potentially play slotback in an option. Should be a good perimeter blocker, receiver and runner – total package. If he adds weight, you might see an increase in his top end speed, which is the one consistent theme on film, he gets run down. Very tough athlete, really takes on contact well and keeps feet moving.
