What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I started varsity since sophomore year, making some essential plays to many games. I’ll outwork anyone. And will play any position to get on the field more. I study the game a lot. My junior year I average more than 2 hours of film by myself.

Jenkins is a smart defender who gets good depth when in coverage and shows very good acceleration in the open field. He reports a 35″ vertical jump, and that explosiveness certainly translates to his latest film. The 2021 recruit showed a wide range of skills his junior year, playing both off the edge, at wide receiver and at safety while also having a prominent role on special teams. What stands out about Jenkins is his patience when reading the play. For that reason, he shows good versatility stopping the run or defending the pass, where he is advanced in man coverage compared to other strong safety prospects. At 6′ 195 lbs., he has some solid weight his frame and that helps with tackling in the open field, but would like to see him be more consistent lowering where he strikes on his tackle attempt. Definitely encouraged by his early output against Sprayberry this year, definitely looks to be a little more explosive his senior year. Definitely a good student too with almost a 4.0 GPA and qualified with his SAT score.
