What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
Playing football has taught me to be a winner on and off the field. I’m competitive, and I always portray a winning attitude. I work hard at everything I do. I'm not confrontational but will stand my ground. I push myself to the limits and I encourage my teammates to do the same. I understand that there is no “I” in team, so if my team fails then I fail. I never ask or expect my teammates to do anything that I can’t or I am not willing to do. I lead by example and I fight till the end.
Harps played both running back and linebacker last season for Northview. He has good speed and is a very secure tackler being sure to wrap up his attempts. Harps lives in the backfield and reads the offensive play quickly – also a very tough player.
Great player. Very quite and respectable. When hits the field on Friday it’s like a whole new person appears

Michael’s skills are unmatched when compared to other players. His impeccable manners off the field and dynamic football knowledge on the field are all telltale signs of a player who is ready to lead his team.
There are plenty of players who have athletic skills, but how many exhibit the strong character capable of making an impact on college programs the day they step foot on campus? Not many, but Michael Harps is that player. All-around good kid who is ready to step in and help a team from day one.
