Cone shows quick feet in pass blocking and fairly good awareness picking up an extra block. Big man plays with a lot of urgency and his natural size makes him a force at the next level. Our staff still believes he fits best at RT. He demonstrate good pass blocking skills but where his potential truly lies is a line mashing run blocker. Cone is young for his grade and will probably need to redshirt but has a good upside and a strong work ethic.

Quick and agile for such a big kid. Plays to the echo of the whistle. You end up not seeing where the ball went if you watch Cone block. He’ll take his man left 20 yards when the ball goes right. Quick and stable odd blocker and devastating run blocker. He’s almost a Jedi. When he hits the secondary, linebackers swerve away from the play to avoid getting into his sights. Going places that kid is. And he’s only 15 or 16.

Went to see him play and he played like there was no tomorrow he’s just crazy and won’t stop until he’s told or the man is on the ground

Cone is one of the only lineman I’ve seen in a while to not let his guy go until he’s in the turf of the ref pulls him off

I read the interview this young man did for the Clemson Insider and saw one regular season and one playoff game for East Paulding. I believe he’s only 16. One bio says he’s 320 and another says 310 but at 6’5″ he is quick and stalks the entire field and not just the tackle box. During East Paulding’s playoff game against Lanier, Derrick Brown the 5 star D end eventually rotated away from Cone’s left side after being neutralized and on 2 occasions, pancaked out of a play. As a Tiger fan I hope Clemson has slot for him. If not, I hope he gets an offer from an SEC team so that he doesn’t end up on a roster AGAINST Clemson. I’m choosing a4 star rating only because he’s so young and has only played varsity for a short time. I can only imagine he’ll get better, bigger and stronger.

Possessions all the intangibles and has really developed a lot this year. Is very young and technique is now catching up to his body, Will be a force on the Oline and will shine at the next level with whomever is smart enough to take him, Don’t be fooled by the limited tape he has been behind a really strong 3 year starting lineup and will get his chance this season

Great kid on and off the field. Very aggressive and I feel bad for anyone who lines up against him this year. And he should keep growing up to like 6’6 6’7 by the time he turns 18 he’s only 16

I’m giving this young man 5 stars for character alone. Forget that he’s a quick agressive 6’5 16 year old. Don’t pay attention to how often he’s down field taking his man away from the play or leading his running back to a seam. I want you to watch how many Freshman and JV players he coaches on his off days and who looks to him for help on the sidelines. In a time where the media is full of stories about athletes in trouble and the lack of character among athletes this young man leads by example.

This kid is freaking amazing!!!!! Seen a lot of his games. Nicest kid off the field and the meanest on! My cousins kid went against him and told us he nearly s**t himself when he saw cone. I couldn’t help but laugh knowing how come plays I’m glad my cousins kid got out alive! I hope these schools jump on him quick, before we know it all the schools will be after him and he’s got to have his factories so. Can’t wait to watch him kick ass for the East varsity next year!!

Saw him against Cass. What school is going to pick him up? If you watch a game you’ll see the defense switch their studs to the other side away from Cone. You don’t aim at the armor, you shoot for the weak spots. Cone’s the armor.

Saw him at a workout at Western Carolina, My Alma Mater. Solid build. Not one of the top heavy skinny legged kids you see predominantly in HS. He’s well muscled from the ankles up. Great feet, quick off the ball and has gone from a predominantly run blocker to a great pass blocker as well if you watch the progression of his films.
