Valdosta’s defense was not very good again this year and a lot of games looked closer to basketball scores than football games. Cherelus though played pretty well breaking up a ton of passes and almost exclusively playing man coverage too. He is a physical player despite his slight frame. Plays the game with a ton of energy and passion. Very good tackler too, he does a nice job of reading the play and breaks on the receiver before he has a chance to react. Cherelus also blocked a few punts this year.
