Mixon has a low center of gravity and gets pretty good leverage on his opponent. Like so many Mill Creek lineman he does a great job of keeping his back flat, stays on his toes while engaged and pushes his guy back. Mixon is a load tho, and he doesn’t just suit up on the offensive line but also plays some DT. That sort of versatility says good bit of his athletic potential and toughness. He is very mobile for a center showing light feet moving across the LOS while making a block. He got the best of a young but talented McEachern defensive line last season. Mixon has a legit motor, and we see him getting way down field making a block. Length is a little bit of a concern, as Mixon doesn’t appear to have the longest arms. He shows tremendous leg drive. He could play OG or C in an option offense, granted he needs to get quicker coming out his stance. He also shows good potential as a center in a zone blocking scheme, so a lot of versatility for colleges to utilize.
