Sims is a standout running back at Charlton County with a good initial burst and impressive determination to get the most yardage possible. The senior changes directions on a dime, showing good pad level and explosion through the hips while cutting. His ability to cutback against the grain while utilizing his blocks is noteworthy. He has a good feel for reading pursuit angles. Sims has a good initial burst, but adding another gear to his top-level speed should yield more explosive plays in 2024. His ability to break off tackles and only weighing 175 lbs. his junior year suggests that as he continues to add muscle, Sims should grow into a solid all-purpose running back. He used a decent amount in the screen game, I can only see that happening more in 2024 so take advantage of his natural elusiveness. Sims is a very tough football player and generally shows great energy even on special teams. He is a prospect to watch closely this fall; his film and stats should see a bump. As of now, the Charlton County 2025 prospect is under the radar.
