Smith has legit football speed, he can make a cut on a dime and explode downfield. That ability to tear up the turf and burn defenses should absolutely catch colleges’ eyes, but it’s the fact that he can so easily make a cut without losing hardly any speed that makes him an FBS caliber athlete. Smith runs with good pad level, he shows a pretty legit stiff arm. His short space agility is near the tops we have seen for backs in the class of 2019, and would think his shuttle time would be off the charts at summer camps. Smith is a true athlete, he can continue to fill out his frame, break more tackles after contact, but his ability to hit the home run is legit, and convinced he will test out well this summer.
