Thomas took over the RB spot in 2019 and broke off some huge plays. He is a slasher out there on the field with above average acceleration which definitely helps open up these big plays, but also just a natural at reading the defender and getting around tackles. Upright running style, needs to get his pads a lot lower. Smooth running stride, doesn’t even look like he is running hard on film. Excellent in the open field, during the state playoffs they have used him a lot at receiver too and he has been a big mismatch as well. One of the more versatile WR/RB prospects in this class, he needs to continue to fill out his frame and but shows good leg drive and breaks a good bit of tackles already. Definitely not a traditional body type for a running back but wirey strong athlete with good body composition looking at his weight lifting numbers from the start of this year.
