Garner snagged a few INT’s this year where he just jumps the route and he took back for a score. Explosive jumping ability, really springs up in the air and it’s noteworthy. He sees the football and does a very good job of getting in between the receiver and the ball. Probably had 4 interceptions on the year, but was very close on a few more. Doesn’t give on a play either, does some really good PBU’s from behind. Take a look at his film, he is marking some of the best receivers in the state and breaking up the pass. Field corner from what you see on film, tackling does need to improve though, but coverage is his number one skill. Needs to pack on the weight, but really like what I’m seeing on film with Garner, but you can see where he needs to improve in the weight room. Tackling is solid, does a good job in assisted situations, but does well enough in solo situations too.
