Lucius Glynn – DT

#51 DEFENSIVE TACKLE

HT: 6’3″
WT: 260
Class: 2021

Flip on the film, and got to say, Glynn shows some legit upside at defensive tackle, but where I really like him as a 3-4 DE. He gets excellent leverage, and probably the most consistent part to his game right now. He has good hand placement. Glynn stands up the offensive lineman a lot, and has pretty good leg drive while engaged. His motor… is okay, there are flashes, but not too different than a lot of former hoop players. Would like to see him show more urgency from the backside, there were a few moments that he could have cleaned up with a big hit. Tackling is where he needs to improve the most, a lot of profile tackles with his arms, and doesn’t get the ball carrier down too quickly. He’s definitely a project at this point, but I could see him taking another jump his senior year. He really does have a knack at getting off blocks. He’s 1000% a recruit to watch closely this fall. He has a lot of upside, and does show some versatility to play a number of schemes and positions.
