Fluid athlete who changes directions well and good instincts around the football. Speed is definitely solid, and broke a few long plays in 2019. Plays RB, WR and DB; probably best suited for CB at the next level. Weaver has some potential for sure, and was really a Swiss army knife player for Decatur this year. Would like to see more film of him at CB honestly. Checking back on his junior film and there is now exclusively DB film, which is great. Weaver shows that athletic burst and smooth running motion that allows for him to make impressive breaks on the pass. He created a good bit of turnovers where he was just able to flip his hips and sprint back to make a play on the pass. Weaver doesn’t have ideal size, but I really like his quickness plus he does a very solid job of settling into his tackle attempt even dropping his hips. He is pretty physical in press coverage too getting right in the face of the receiver. Decatur was a very solid team in 2019, and the 2021 recruit was a huge reason why.
