What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

Very explosive, quick, and great extension.

Buchanan jumped onto the Mt Zion team last fall and was a trouble maker for opposing offenses. His big frame and good athleticism are nice assets for any college DL coach to work with, but his hustle out to the sideline and energy he brings that makes him stand out. Over the last year, the 2020 recruit has grown an inch, and in fact, lost 10 lbs too. Overall, he is improving as an athlete, and given his solid tackling and energy he shows, I think D1 schools will show interest for the remainder of the recruiting cycle. Getting quicker off the LOS and working on getting off blocks quicker will only peak interest more. Buchanan shows some solid upside, I think he can really make an impact at the next level. Curious to see him more at TE this year, but pretty much sold at this point for him to be a DE.
