What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I am a great leader on and off the field. I was the only junior mention for all region for O-Line. I get it done in the classroom so I can get it done on the field.

Gordon is a heavy set young man, and he might not be the tallest player, he certainly puts a lot of effort into each play. Gordon has a good sense of where to be on the field. On the OL he shows good footwork and reacts quickly to his opponent. He’s an above average athlete, and his wider frame allows for him to occupy space, which makes for a good fit in a 3-4 defense. Gordon scrapes off blocks pretty well, I would like to see him finish his tackles more emphatically. As a two-way player, he shows a lot of versatility, and I think it says a lot about his conditioning. Getting more flexible in the hips, trying to really get underneath the pads of his opponent would help, he looks to have long arms (8′ standing reach), which is a huge benefit to how well he controls his side of the LOS. Gordon finished 4th all time in the state in the discus, he’s a good all-around athlete, I like his potential to play defensive line at the next level depending on the scheme he falls into.
