Nettles really wants it, there is a passion to his game, and that just seen in how quickly he comes up in run support from his safety spot. He’s a good tackler, and what I like about Nettles is how he slips by blockers to get into the backfield routinely. I would like to see him use his hands a little more when getting off a block. Tackling is good, he does a nice job squaring up his attempt. Reads the ball carrier really well. Want to see him play more in the pass, he’s making plays in the run but not many PBU’s. Looks like his aggression can get the best of him too, might over pursue at times, but patience reading the play is coming along. Nettles has a few INT’s during his JR year where he makes pretty good reads on the ball, but at this point tackling is his top skill. Working on his lateral quickness, changing directions and showing improved acceleration are two areas to improve physically.
