Hathaway has been a player we have known about for over a year now, and there’s nothing like seeing a young lineman start to realize his potential. He’s a big kid at 6’6″, and from a just a raw strength point of view he can just dominate. He does a lot right in terms of playing with energy, but needs to work on hip/hamstring flexibility a good bit. Hathaway rounds his back a little too much. He needs to improve getting out his stance quicker, working on lateral quickness more. Once he is upfield and with a full head of steam he does a good job of moving with defenders and staying engaged. Overall body control is pretty good, and has pretty light feet when pass blocking. I wouldn’t be surprise to see schools try him at OG too, but has to get better blocking lower, and improving fundamentals as a whole. Seems like a good student-athlete, takes his studies seriously, and all around a well-rounded young man. Power clean now up to 285, one of the areas I was most concerned with Hathaway was hip strength, and that is certainly improving
