What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?
I’m very versatile and am willing to play any position on the field to help my team win. I played long snapper for a few games this season because our primary one was injured. I have contact courage and love the game.
McInnis Was productive at Wheeler junior year. He had 14 tackles for a loss and 6 sacks on the year while also getting some reps at TE for the Wildcats. At around 6’3″ and nearly 230 lbs., which is a nice 25 lbs. increase since his junior year. McInnis has the frame to be a solid edge defender at the next level. He shows good activity with his hands and is strong at the point of attack. McInnis utilizes a quick first step and excellent timing of the snap to get the jump on the OL. The 2025 edge does need to drop his pad level while engaged and when making a tackle he needs to drive his feet through the attempt. I really like his tenacity after the QB, and he continues to round out his fundamentals and frame, McInnis grow into a solid pass-rusher at the next level. I’m curious to see him more at TE this fall honestly. His route running is solid and is tough to tackle at the 2nd level, make you wonder if McInnis has upside as a H-back; granted commitment to Navy all but confirms his destination to defense at the next level.
