Powell is one of the fastest players in the state running a sub 10.5 100m time both his sophomore and junior years in track in field. Ever since his freshman year Powell has been an impact player capable of making a highlight reel return or a dynamic offensive play where he can break into the open field and is gone. Powell has great athleticism and is a no-doubt P4 athlete. He is still finding his way as a runner, but what I do like about Powell is his ability to get vertical with his running. When he sees a seam, the 2025 back doesn’t hesitate, and then his elite top end speed is on full display. To be perfectly honest, with the new coaching staff at Miller County, I feel like Powell is set for an eye-popping season and be the leading rusher in Class A DII. On top of being a great athlete, Powell is an even better person with great character and leadership skills on top of being a great student-athlete. He committed to GT at the beginning of the summer.
