What makes you stand out as a future collegiate athlete?

I’m a hardworking athlete. I will play any position coach wants me to play. I do my part on the field and in the weight room.

Hood was an All-Region select after his big 2019 season where he averaged 11.3 tackles per game while making 9 of those in the backfield. Hood is more of an OLB for Langston Hughes than a SS, but given his size and frame that’s probably the best fit in college. Hood earned defensive player of the year at Hughes, and considering they are always one of the best defenses in their classification, that’s a pretty huge honor. He is a big tackler, and I really like how he drives his legs through the attempt. There is an efficiency in how he quickly he gets the ball carrier down. Hood is looking to make a big hit, but also makes the more reliable play when necessary. He is pretty good in pass coverage and does a nice job of reading the QB’s eyes. Tons of energy and hustle on his film, you will see Hood sprint out to the sideline and make a tackle.
